As the Operations Manager at Younergy, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of the company's solar PV installation business for our office in Solothurn. Your primary focus will be on enhancing efficiency, ensuring seamless project execution, safety and driving continuous improvement across various departments. Working closely with the General Manager and other senior executives, you will play a vital role in scaling the company's operations, meeting increasing customer demand, and maintaining high-quality standards in project delivery.

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's growth objectives and support its mission
• Provide leadership and guidance to the various departments under the Operations umbrella, including Project Management, Roof Installations (DC), Electrical Installations (AC), and After-Sales Support
• Foster collaboration between departments to enhance communication, streamline workflows, and ensure smooth handoffs from sales to installation and customer support
• Set clear performance objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each department and monitor progress toward achieving them
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all projects meet the company's high standards for safety, performance, and customer satisfaction
• Work with the Human Resources department to recruit, train, and develop employees, ensuring a high-performing and motivated workforce
• Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting department to develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge

What will you need to succeed?

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in project management or renewable energy are a strong advantage
• Fluent in Swiss-German and/or German and English is a must, French and another language will be an extra plus
• Proven experience of over 3 years in project management or operations management, ideally in the solar industry or a related field
• In-depth technical knowledge of solar PV installations, electrical systems, and construction processes
• Outstanding leadership and team management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
• Familiarity with CRM systems and other IT tools and used in project management and operations
